JEBO protein skimmers are suitable for saltwater aquariums. Protein skimmers are used to improve water quality by removing protein waste before it turns toxic.  JEBO protein skimmers use a venturi method where water passes through a constricted pipe where it is then broken into tiny bubbles.  Protein wastes attach to the air bubbles that foam to the top of the water.  The foam is then collected with a collection cup mounted on top of the skimmer.
